Ready to make some positive life changes? In psychotherapy, I'll help you do three things: explore how your problems developed (to prevent repetition), identify the changes you would like to make, and then determine how to put those changes into action. I take a very active, engaged, and supportive approach, because I believe that strong collaboration is an important agent of change. As I work collaboratively with my clients using this "insight and action" approach, they frequently report that they feel happier, more peaceful, and more empowered.
Are you ready to ditch diet culture, yo-yo dieting, and body shame? In integrative wellness coaching, I'll help you heal your relationship with food and your body. Using the principles of intuitive eating as a guide, you'll learn to let go of diets/diet culture and re-learn how to trust your body's innate wisdom around food and movement. You'll learn to honor your hunger and fullness; enjoy all foods without guilt; nourish your body, mind, and spirit; and exercise joyfully. My clients frequently report that through coaching, they experience empowerment, "food freedom," improved body image, and better overall health.
I offer individual therapy and wellness coaching for individuals aged 16 and older. My fee is $150 per 60 minute session of individual therapy. Wellness Coaching includes one weekly session and email support throughout the week.

I was fortunate to receive exceptional psychotherapy training at Georgetown University, George Washington University, George Mason University, and the University of Delaware; and earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology with honors in 2003. Additionally, I earned an Integrative Wellness Coaching certification through the Integrative Wellness Academy in 2017. I have been practicing for nearly twenty years and have practiced in multiple settings including college and university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and private practices.
One of my passions is educating the community about eating disorders, the emotional aspects of weight loss surgery, anxiety, depression, and the benefits of meditation and conscious relaxation. This is a clip from my interview on WGTW Philadelphia's "Joy In Our Town," in which I discuss the emotional aspects of weight loss surgery, and effective treatments for binge eating disorder and bulimia nervosa.
