Rest and Restore: Guided Meditations and Relaxation Exercises for Stress Relief, Mindfulness, and Peaceful Sleep is a collection of my most relaxing meditation and relaxation exercises. It includes a mindfulness meditation, walking meditation, progressive muscle relaxation exercise, relaxing imagery exercise, and a five minute meditation for when time is short. Rest and Restore allows you to take a break from the outside world, rest, restore, and rejuvenate. I created this collection to help my patients relieve stress, sleep more soundly, reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, build mindfulness, and achieve a greater overall sense of well-being. I hope that it brings these benefits to you!
Rest and Restore is available on Apple Music (iTunes) and YouTube Music (Google) for digital audio, and at Amazon.com as a digital download and/or CD.
In today's fast-paced, technology-centered world, kids need true rest and relaxation more than ever. I created Your Peaceful Place: Children's Meditations for Relaxation, Stress Relief, and Restful Sleep to offer children this much-needed downtime. Meditation and conscious relaxation have many benefits for children: reduced symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder; and a decrease in stress hormones, leading to reduced headaches, gastrointestinal symptoms, cardiovascular symptoms, and impaired immune function. Your Peaceful Place offers five diverse meditation and relaxation practices tailored specifically to children. There are two guided imagery exercises ("Your Day at the Beach" and "Your Magic Treehouse"), a five-minute mindfulness meditation, a progressive muscle relaxation exercise, and a lovingkindness meditation. In each practice, I help your child to take a break from the outside world, focus within, and experience deep relaxation and peaceful sleep.
This fantastic info-graphic from AsapSCIENCE explains the science behind benefits of meditation, benefits including decreased anxiety, improved mood and concentration, and protection against various illnesses and diseases. Simply incredible information!
